This is supervisory maintenance work directing, through subordinate supervisors, field forces engaged in cleaning, examining, and troubleshooting problems with stormwater inlets. Employees in this class are responsible for implementing manual and mechanized inlet cleaning and maintenance programs for a major portion of the city. Work includes ensuring that cleaning schedules are maintained and priorities established for the inlet cleaning/maintenance program. A significant aspect of the work involves formulating effective working relationships with employees, other City departments, community groups, and the public in the cleaning and general maintenance of city inlets. Work is performed under the direction of a Water Conveyance Systems Assistant Superintendent.
